However, Ancelotti had no intention of walking away from the Brazil project. Even after Brazil's disappointing World Cup campaign, the Brazilian Football Confederation backed the experienced coach and confirmed he will continue leading the team through the next World Cup cycle.

Brazilian Football Confederation director Rodrigo Caetano made the federation's stance clear.

"Carlo Ancelotti will remain in charge. We have full confidence in the work being done and in the long-term project."

The decision means Ancelotti will now focus on rebuilding one of football's biggest nations after their early World Cup exit, with the ultimate goal of ending Brazil's long wait for a sixth world title in 2030.
